Pub has now been re- opened , albeit on a temp basis as enterprise inns still might want more commitment from the savior who is Jeff. He is trying to keep to the same winning formula the pub had always had , I wish him luck and promise to support him and the pub more. Still has the top quality Taylor's landord , a fantastic pint ! Theakstons best and pendle witch also regulars . Food is always fresh cooked and reasonable prices and has General knowledge and music quiz every week on a Tuesday & Thursday resp.

Hope to see you there soon !

Ps , all my best to Jon & Alison , the ex landlord & his wife .

Pub is sadly no more, I believe it closed down some weeks ago?

Was by no means a regular (and perhaps therefore in part to blame) but I enjoyed a number of good pints in the Vale over the past few years, and it will be missed in the event that it doesn't re-open. Should the custodians happen to chance upon this, all the very best and thanks for your hospitality. It's a real shame
