Called in here today, desperate for somewhere with disabled access, child friendly and food at a reasonable price... A big ask in Brighton I know but we were very pleasantly surprised by the Market Inn. Only one step to negotiate on the way in, locals friendly and helpful, bar staff even more so, food absolutely superb for the money (£6-8 main course). Three of us ate and drank for less than £25 and they were showing the footie too. Heartly reccomend the steak and ale pie (no gap twixt crust and filling, veg all fresh and tasty, mash just made). Suer find, we'll be back again sometime soon. Blaadyblah - 26 Jan 2008 19:40
Yeah the amount of atmosphere is beyond question here. anonymous - 13 Sep 2007 14:35
A great town centre pub with lots of atmosphere, friendly staff and good beer. Prime location and well worth a visit. flagship - 20 Aug 2007 19:22
Walk inside. If your a stage artist, your love it. Everyone turns and looks at you. Talk about being sized up as you enter. Uncomfortable. Outside, nice, relaxing. A bit of a 'can't see much' atmosphere but on a nice day not bad.. the_original_rawnsleys - 17 Apr 2007 10:22
Pleasant to sit outside but inside a bit dour, unfriendly and forgettable. Token pub geezers standing round. Sit outside and avoid them and watch the world go by. Only then is it worth a visit. terenced - 16 Apr 2007 08:29
