It is what it is! A friendly pulling joint. No problem with that. Don't come here for quality ales though. marinaman - 3 Oct 2011 15:17
also known as the Pickled Ovaries...not a bad place...a bit trendy with an older crowd...thought it was bring your mother night!...music is a bit cheesy....but no trouble and seems to double as a night club...strict door policy after a certain hour.. d.franks - 28 Apr 2011 20:25
England’s goalkeeper Robert Green may have made an inexplicable and excruciating howler in the USA game, though there were no such mistakes by Tickled Ivory regarding our visit here Saturday night (12 June). I came here with 4 other people after 7ish, having reserved a table prior to the game, with the attitude of the usually anti football manager brilliant. Our group had ample space and a clear view of the largest screen in the place, which was a clear contrast from the raucous and ridiculously packed Bar Med when I popped in there briefly around 7ish. Tickled Ivory’s drinks promotion during the game was excellent with 4 bottles of Corona or a jug of beer for £10, which I felt was good value for money. The atmosphere was lively during the game and we stayed in there a little while afterwards as the place then transformed into what some people might call a middle aged meat market! Drinks, however, went up considerably post match, as I later paid £7.60 for 2 Coronas. Overall though, Tickled Ivory is a superb venue to watch England’s 2010 World Cup games and I would certainty come here again to watch England matches. Searching_for_H_Files - 16 Jun 2010 10:39
Great place to go on their student night when the crowd is a bit younger and drinks a little cheaper. We went early and enjoyed some great pizzas too (better than the stoke or pizza express and the like in my opinion too). Drinks weren't cheap, but the atmosphere was great and was gutted to have to leave before closing ready for work the next morning. ebunick - 4 May 2010 16:52
