user reviews of Bull Ring Inn, Kingstone

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This is now my local, and since March 2011 has seen a massive turnaround in business, there is always a good selection of Real Ale available and the food menu is adequately priced and naturally pub style, the atmosphere is pleasant and the pub now sports a quiz team and a pool team, look out for next year's summer session, Christmas party meals and New Years Eve Banquette looks good value for money too.

We regularly visit this pub for Sunday lunch, but today will be the last time. My mother-in-law booked a table in the restaurant for 1pm today, three days earlier, and was told that it would be busy as there was a Christening party on, but it would be alright. When we arrived, they denied all knowledge of it and we were not able to eat. When we had been before, if you like roast dinners there was a good choice, and the price was very reasonable. Alas, this will be our last visit.

They now have a hairdresser in the pub.

You can have a pint, a steak dinner & all the trimmings in one place.

Under new tenant since September 2008 and now brewing it's own ales under the Golden Valley Ales name: Hay Bluff (3.7%) , .410 (4.1%) and Lock, Stock & Barrel (5.1%). Full-time brewer just engaged which should provide more consistent quality to the beer. Has opened a refurbished room as a steak house selling various steaks, all from locally reared Herefordshire cattle.
