Popped in here before the footie (about 15 minute walk from Huish park), well worth a visit. Only two beers on, Spitfire and, the one I sampled, Black Sheep, which was well kept albeit served in a plastic 'glass' ( I am a football fan so I would obviously put a real glass in someone's face at the drop of a hat!). As we're in the 3rd division again next season I will be making a return trip to this pub.

Strolled in here, thinking about a few beers and lunch. Young female said "I'll be with you in a minute!", obviously thinking we were to old to find a table for ourselves. We waited a while, and as we did, I heard a familiar voice whinging from behind the bar "I'll be ripping somebody's head off". Yeah, of course you will Rob. This pillock was one of the reasons I avoided the Mitre in Glastonbury, and I don't want to hear his cringe-worthy voice ever again, and as the girlie had not deigned to come back, we left. Poor.

Part of the 'Table Table' group - new(ish) estate pub but more up-market than most. Very welcoming staff and very good modern atmosphere with lots of nooks and crannies catering pretty much for all occasions. Extensive and reasonably priced menu. Well kept ales - St Austell Tribute and Butcombe Bitter were spot on, the guest beer (London Pride) had just finished - bummer!
