Directly opposite Chepstow Castle which we had just visited. But, it's currently closed. Recently purchased in auction, it looks like the new owners will seek a change of use.

Bit disappointed, especially after the other reviews. They had a massive and interesting range of pies, most of which turned out to be off. I ended up with a rather overpriced fish finger sandwich instead. And the beer was way too cold for my taste. As others have said, the staff were very friendly, though.

Excellent pub, with stunning backdrop of the castle. Beer was good, staff were friendly. Definately worth a visit.

This lovely pub is opposite the Castle car park and is a must if you visit Chepstow. It looks nice from the outside and it's fantastic on the inside. friendly service, great beer and some lovely food on offer in this lovely Old pub that dates from 1791.

We had a few drinks in here as it was so relaxing and welcoming. Even the pub dog (Barney) was great and quite a little character.
Although the only food we had was some Bara Brith i would love to call back and eat here as the food on offer looked fantastic and they serve the now famous Minister pies.
