Top Notch Sunday Roast served by friendly people anonymous - 29 Oct 2007 14:34
It would be nice if the landlord spoke to his clients, even those who he does not know, rather than snuggling up to his mates. His wife is lovely, but the upmarket aim is sadly falling short. anonymous - 2 Aug 2007 18:40
What to say? The refit is nice but plain. The beer continues to be good and it is clear they are working to improve the reputation. Unfortunatly they appear to have acquired a lot of custom from King Alfred regulars. The first impression potential customers get is of shaven headed, heavily tattoed men, and with the improvement in weather shirts are coming off and acres of fat is being displayed. Not encouraging. petergoesrock - 1 Aug 2007 11:15
The beer was fine, but the pub reminded me of a working mans club thommoi - 27 Mar 2007 21:59
