A lovely pub in lovely non tourist countryside.

The pub is compact but cosy and the beer garden is very pleasant too.
My only complaint is £4 for a pint of Amstel seems a bit steep.

This pub is not a million miles away from the M5. But it feels like a world away. Service was from the young bar staff was friendly and there was a good selection of local ales, plus a local cider - Hanlons Brewers Blond, Exeter County Best, Otter Bitter & Sandford Orchards Old Kirton. A few were indulging in Sunday lunches during our visit. The interior is fairly small. But there is also a beer garden to the side.

The new landlords have been in the pub one year now. What a difference from before! The pub is clean , the atmosphere welcoming and friendly; the beer is excellent and so are the wines and spirits. The food is so good that it is now necessary to book well in advance particularly at weekends. This has been achieved purely by word of mouth and no advertising.
The pub is again the social centre of the village and one is made welcome to just have a drink and a chat.
It has revitalised the village.

Nice little pub with two Otter ales and 1 guest, all well kept. Welcoming landlord and landlady who also deal in very good food. A pool table and dart board also feature. A must when I'm in the area.
