If there was a competition for the slowest pub bar staff in Britain then I'd certainly stick a few quid on the Kings Head to win. More of a restaurant these days, clinging onto the ideal that it is still a pub. TonyMac - 27 Oct 2011 17:00
Nice pub, tasty food & wine reasonably priced, delicious carrot cake cheesecake. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend the Kings Head and will definitely be going back even if it is just for some more of that cheesecake! jprwiilliams - 22 Apr 2011 10:50
Nice decor but that is about all. Took my sister for lunch there last Friday as it seem to have a very good menu. Waited for an hour for a simple burger and bit of chicken and it turned up stone cold. Staff were dead rude when we told them it was cold. No apology and totally rude. Would not recommend this place! Very deceiving as looks nice when you go in but service sucks! TraceyC21 - 1 Nov 2010 10:01
Large carpeted pub decorated in a modern style with plenty of different seating areas and seating types. Quiet music was playing on my lunchtime music today. The pub had at least 1 fruit machine and 1 games machine. Drinks and food menus were on each table. Cask ales available were Rudgate Ruby Mild, Greene King IPA and Thirsty Dragon, TT Landlord and London Pride. I don't normally like pubs with a modern decoration. But there was something about this one that appealed. blue_scrumpy - 28 May 2010 22:53
This is the best `Ember Inn` we have visited, good choice of real ales, helpful barman and decent pub grub. The layout of the pub is much improved on the 2 previous revamps in the 90`s with decent sitting out area at back away from road. tophops - 10 Mar 2009 11:07
