| Had drinks only. Two good real ales on offer, Hawkshead H-ale-o (brewed specially for the Angel) and Coniston Bluebird. Both in good condition. Wide range of wines and some decent lagers. Has numerous rooms: restaurant, lounge and bar. You can eat anywhere but only diners are allowed in the restaurant. Nice open fire. Chilled out atmosphere and prices seemed average for the area. | Great city style pub in the center of bowness. Doesn,t try to be a fake village pub and serves good food,albiet expensive! Choice of great real ales. Nice location. Never stayed here but accomodation looks good. tomturbo - 13 Sep 2009 10:27 |
