Not a gastro pub but a Chef & Brewer chain pub. Abbot Ale, Tribute and John Smith's Cask on sale today - the latter rather disappointing. But its quite nicely done out inside (albeit formulaic) and the food was good value too.

Visited at 6.30pm on a Monday evening, perhaps not the best of times. Big gastro pub with 6 eating. The menu and wines are pricey without being expensive ( half lobster& 4oz steak 17.50 dearest.) Hobsons, Abbot and one guest on tap. Staroprom and Leffe also available. One barman not exactly chatty but did the job.Left feeling disapointed somehow.

Have only visited this pub at lunch times which I do regularly. The food is generally good to excellent by pub standards. The beers are Abbot and two Hobsons and a guest. Indeed the staff here are first rate, friendly, helpful and universally cheerful without being OTT. The decor and furnishings are very restrained and comfortable. There is a large car-park and outside seating. It is also a very clean pub as at least once a year it undergoes almost total immersion from the nearby river Teme at flood time.
