| I keep going to this pub to try and get used to Alcazar beers but I still think they lack something although there are about 6-8 to choose from. The Thai food is good though and the barmaid was pleasant enough on our last visit. Not far from Basford tram stop and I'll probably go back again ! mcroyal - 18 Mar 2011 11:22 |
| Visited 27/7/10, 6.30pm Hadn't been here for a couple of years. Lots of people scoffing the excellent-looking Thai cuisine. About 8 Alcazar beers on. I tried 3 and they were all in poor condition. The first two were too warm, like they'd been in the pipe all day, and the third was clear but undrinkable. The two sweet young things behind the bar were a bit disinterested in what they were doing. | Visited during the afternoon when it wasn't wildly busy but quite a few people there. Friendly barlady asked if I was a CAMRA member because I would get a discount [note to self : I must look dodgy!], Having got the discount, beers were superb, will definitely re-visit.
