| After a walk through Epping Forest we ended up here with 3 children for some lunch. Although in a great spot with a big garden the pub has an air of neglect about it. Broken benches outside and tatty inside. The woman behind the bar was most unhelpful and couldn't add up properly. We waited almost an hour for 4 rolls and some chips all of which were overpriced and decidely average. | Have visited many times over the years as I find it better than the King's Oak at the top of the hill. Called in last week - staff friendly and beer is well kept but food is rather pedestrian and quite expensive. BobOs - 13 Aug 2008 00:00 |
