| Called in here this afternoon. The pub itself is pleasant enough and the chat was nice, with a regular along with the bar staff. 5 handpumps on offer, I opted for Pale Rider brewed by Kelham Brewery. This is where sadly it all went wrong. First of all I nearly suffered a heart attack, when she said "�3.80" for a single pint! That is quite expensive even in certain Manchester city centre pubs. Then again in this part of Walkden (Ellenbrook) they are probably aware, that the rich populace aren't that bothered by these matters. Then about half way down it lost its head and went very flat. | Visited the Woodside on Saturday Evening, busy. Ordered food and was very disappointed - it was not fresh food but tasted like microwave prepack! Mind you that is my opinion. Friendly atmosphere. Would not rush back. anonymous - 7 May 2009 14:25 |

| We go here regularly for Saturday lunch. The staff are friendly and always on hand to top up your coffee!! The food is good and not your run of the mill pub grub. Very relaxed atmosphere and never spoilt by loads of children running round! Triciahuggins - 18 Oct 2008 19:57 |
