| Decided to meet friends here before attending a concert at NEC. O.K. you might expect them to be busy before an event but surely they should plan accordingly. Took over 10 minutes to get served at the bar. Decided that, as they were obviously over whelmed, we'd just have a selection of starters. Still took over 30 mins to arrive and to say it was disappointing is an understatement. Celery was unwashed and limp, prawns were tastless, pate was grey, and the chicken skewers miniscule. The John Smiths wasn't the best beer we've ever had. The only reasons for scoring 2 were that the Taylor's Landlord was good and the waitress who dealt with our complaints was extremely courteous and got us a partial refund.
