| went for lunch with work colleague, was ok but bit pricey and even though did not seem to be busy waiting 45 mins for our food. racheljacks - 10 May 2011 15:55 |
| I agree totally with what jandix below said. Beer was pretty good, food was abysmal. A shining example of the muck that all too often passes for "decent pub grub" in the UK. It's seemingly popular, which unfortunately goes to show that far too many people are happy to spend their hard earned money on microwaved crap. Stay for a pint and go elsewhere for your dinner. | Chose this pub due to its central location to my family. Arrived Sunday 12pm and six people ordered the lamb sunday lunch. the menu made it sound lovely. A few minutes after it was ordered it arrived on a cold plate and looking very poor. The meal was cold themeat portions small and I was so disappointed. I heard other diners complain also. The pub ambience was great, the service impeccable but the food was dire. My brother and sister and I with our partners cook, and I could not understand how a chef could produce such poor food. I felt really uncomfortable with my family and made a discreeet complaint. We were given free sweets but no real explanation. Surely Chefs know what they are sending out of the kitchen???????? jandix - 29 Nov 2009 15:42 |
| Brands itself as being in the trendy, upmarket village of Woburn, although it's a good two or three miles away from Woburn and is technically either in Potsgrove or Heath & Reach. The beer selection, however, was surprisingly good and the quality was excellent. adamcroft - 20 Oct 2009 13:06 |
