No real Ale whatsoever in this place. Find it hard to give it a very good rating at all. 1/10 for being there.

I think it cost me £3.20 for a bottle of Corona. Bottled drinks are always more when they contain less, whats that all about? Anyway its ok, it feels like being in some down-town american bar in here... Maybe that is because its called Old Orleans..!

Hooray the new footy season begins! I eventually came here with a mate Saturday evening (Aug 11) around 9ish after watching Charlton play Scunthorpe. Given it was still fairly warm, the majority of people were sitting outside in cliquey groups, but we easily found somewhere to sit inside on one of the comfy sofas. It took a while to be served though and our 2 pints of Stella came to £6.20 I think (it had been a long day!), which seemed a wee bit on the expensive side.

I enjoyed the non cheese music they were playing here as it put me in a good mood to start off my Saturday night. Bar the restaurant section, it was fairly quiet inside (most people outside as previously mentioned), while the atmosphere was quite relaxed and jovial. In short, this is definitely somewhere to start a Friday/Saturday night for one at least if the weather is pleasant before moving on elsewhere. Useful for a drink before going to the cinema next door also.

I dropped in after a hectic morning in court desperate for a coffee and was told that hot drinks were "off".

This would have been fine except that a member of staff could clearly be seen drinking a "hot drink".

I didn't ask them to go to the lengths of boiling a kettle just for me. I left and went elsewhere, and will continue to do so from now on.

I wouldn't recommend visiting the bar only if you wanted a swift one before watching a film in the Odeon cinema next door. Haven't been to the restaurant for a while but as I remember specialised in American style cuisine which was fairly nice. I think everyones' been to one of theses contrived theme bars in their time and this like most of them is very much of a muchness!
