| Popped in back in Feb,was rather disappointed as they had no yates's best ale, and the only other cask ale was the cloudy bombardier with bits floating in it. | For some reason I have really started to like this pub. I am local and go into town every week. In the 70s Yates were very basic (Liverpool had 10 Yates, floorboards, the posh one on Dale Street had lino. One beer tap and 20 rough wines - I kid you not. There were local poems to the lethal Australian white. But enough of my past...) Cheltenham: Cheap food (2 meals for 6.95 type deals). And very strangely: the staff (the food staff anyway) seem to be always very polite and considerate, consistently, must be a policy.
