Wonderful, just wonderful. This is how a pub should be. Friendly staff and locals, great beer and good honest meals at an affordable price. Well worth a visit.

return visit.... still a good as the previous report. Full of local people enjoying good beer and food. The landlords actually speak to people and remember names, which is excellent these days. Ask for the tree chocolate dessert if your dare. Good whisky menu as well as ales.

Unpretentious community pub with good custom of all ages; Landlord was promoted but was unexceptional

The new owners have stamped their personality on the place big time. It is very popular for meals and Sunday lunches. It has real pub atmosphere, where everyone is welcome including kids, dogs, etc.
We had the Sunday lunch (which should be booked) and the place was packed. Nearly did not get in.

Came under new management just over a year ago - what an improvement!! Opened as a non-smoking pub, newly decorated and cleaned up. The Landlord and Landlady (Lou & Elaine) have injected some much needed energy and life into the place. Huge community spirit in there now and many of the people in the village frequent the pub now. Teams for alsorts including darts and off-roading!!
Food is really good and the Sunday lunch is brilliant. Puddings to die for.
Well worth coming out of town for.
Brilliant!
