| New owners have breathed new life into this place during difficult times. More importantly new chefs have made the food a delight. I prefer eating in the bar rather than the restaurant. | beautiful pub inside and out fantastic food beautifully presented BUT service was awful. The starter was wrong, the vegetarian roast dinner came with meat pnly gravy!!!!!!! asked for mustard only got one variety had to wait ages for dessert the cheese board was served without a knife ... and had to drink our coffees seperatley as they couldnot bring them together. The people behind us were served wrong wine wrong starter and even the wrong soft drink. No one came to apologise or ask us if we were enjoying our meal and although one waitress did seem to know what she was doing the other one had not got a cluewas quite abrupt and wasn't particularly bothered when she got the orders wrong. would try it once more to give benefit of the doubt as the food was very nice but if service the same ....sorry but red card, not that they will be bothered i am sure athena - 24 Aug 2008 17:51 |
