Lovely hotel bar in a rather wonderful town. Beer was perfect, clientele and staff welcoming. Do try all the pubs in the immediate area. You can't go wrong.

I think this place has improved judging from the reviews below. My pint of Unicorn was excellent. The food was delicious and unlike other pubs in town this place was bright and clean. The staff were eager to please. While it's not a boozer and relatively upmarket I quite liked this place. i'd bring the family to eat here.

Rather like the review below, I found this place very disappointing. I've never really liked Robinson's beers and on this occasion I wasn't convinced that they can brew anything decent once again. The beers were in very poor condition with the Unicorn being completely unpalatable and their Cwrw'r Ddraig Aur not faring much better. Not much more can be said than avoid.

Revisited this year, and was very disappointed. Perhaps because out of season the turnover's slower, or for whatever reason. the beer was in poor condition on both occasions I tried it. the food's still good, but the service was somewhat haphazard (though well-intentioned). OK for a meal, but not really a pub.

This is really a hotel bar, rather than a pub, and when the weather's fine most of the drinking gets done outside, where you have an entertaining view of the main town square.
The bar itself is small, but pleasant and comfortable. Good Robinsons Top Tipple and Unicorn.
The food here is particularly good, and not over-expensive. I believe the landlord has just taken over as tenant rather than manager, and the food side is his province. On the basis of our experience, he'll do very well.
