Slightly improved with 3 real ales (all national beers) at reasonable prices. Comfortable and very close to the railway station and meals all day. They are having a small St Georges Day beer festival.

Decent large chain pub similar to JDW but not a cheap. Reasonable food served all day and also had a very good couple of pints of Brains SA. Choice of 3 cask ales on. OK atmosphere on a Friday afternoon

Still no ale on when we visited last night, still full of teenies, noisy, crowded and generally not somewhere to go for a relaxing evening. It's a pity because they've spent a fair bit on renovation, but it's all being ruined again by the yoofs. The one positive thing I will say is that there was a lot of eye candy on display. Oervall, though, best avoided.

This place has now reopened and has a large Smith & Jones pub sign outside. There is new carpet throughout and the place certainly smells a lot cleaner. They have a huge sign above the bar that says Try our award winning cask ales. They certainly havent won any awards for their cask ale and the selection on the bar hasnt won that many either. They now have three handpumps Greene King IPA, Everards Tiger and Bombardier, ALL three turned round, pathetic. The clientele havent changed either, its still a kiddies playground. Its better than it was, but thats not saying much. Ill up my rating by 1 to reflect the improvement.

Main product on sale appears to be coke and not the sort in bottles , more lads in toilet than at bar , dress code fake burbery and trackies , what a dump .
