walked in for a quick pint and overheard the landlady talking to a new member of staff: "This pub is half chelsea and half arsenal". Well that was it for me, you cant get two more idiotic sets of fans so bonjourno to the new inbred pompeyron - 30 Sep 2011 14:53
Not sure what to make of this place. Nice to have a pub around the corner in Thames Ditton and appears small but cosy with a big beer garden. The bar staff are friendly and serve you well. Its a shame I can't be nice about the beer as ordinary on draught. Stella Artois tasted as good as a Weatherspoons. Not good. Most punters at the front of the bar seem a friendly bunch but some do look at you suspiciously if you are a stranger. Funny pub this one and not sure how to rate it. Walking up to the New Inn we got in a conversation with a young drunk bloke who reminded us of one of the hillbillys from the film Deliverance. On entry to the pub, the drunk bloke got in, went to the jukebox and started playing the banjo duel from the film Deliverance as we were waiting to be served. Waiting at the bar you do get the feeling someone is about to say 'squeal piggy'. Maybe I was too sober to like this pub? ? fullersfan - 3 Dec 2010 00:01
The only problem i have with this pub is the lack of Sky and football, other than that, it's a decent little pub. Not drunk here for a while though so don't know what the pub has been like over the last year or so. FishCFC - 24 Jun 2010 19:32
Chelsea Youth Firm goes there....mmm i wonder what sort of pub this is??? No doubt he arrives in his chelsea chariot to swallow a few pints with his working class mates. lawrence17 - 6 Feb 2009 18:36
Continues downhill. 'Gentleman's Evening' coming up soon - complete with comedian and well, strippers to be frank. Great. For God's sake, you have a lovely garden, you're a traditional pub, in a really smart area. 'Gentleman's Evening'? Get a grip barlick - 11 Jun 2008 15:47
