Went in on Saturday afternoon in December and the place was busy showing how popular it is. The pub has a public bar on the right and comfortable lounge on the left as you enter. Further back behind the bar is a club room too. Tried the Bathams - Mild & Bitter on my visit. Recomend the Mild. My friend also had a homemade Pork Pie which he said was delicious.

Why is this not nearer to home? Excellent beer, friendly people, a cracker.

It must have been nearly 20 years since I was here last. But it is fairly unchanged. Traditional Bathams pub with 2 or 3 Bathams ales on. The cider is Westons Stowford Press. Only the front bar to the right as you enter has full access to the bar. Although a serving hatch in the corridor serves the other rooms. The bar itself was busy on my lunchtime visit today. The lounge to the left as you enter was much quieter. I believe there is also a third room to the rear. The highlight of any Delph crawl. The locals are pretty friendly.

A classic pub with various rooms, very popular at Midday on a Thursday! Pies are their speciality, hearty food, faggots & gravy, that sort of thing. Beer is cheap and great, I had the Batham's Mild, lots of beer tourists and locals alike.
