Went in here, like the Estcourt Tavern, for the 1st time last Saturday. London Rride and Buntingfords August Ale on offer. Tried the Buntingsford's which I really liked. Place had a bit of history (see photo's on the walls) about it and a friendly atmosphere. Barmaid was a bit of an airhead but was friendly enough. The locals that I spoke to were welcoming so I will call in again when in the area.

A half decent Jack o legs was the only ale on offer to many lager filled oafs in for my liking
Ale did seem a bit cold I guess thats down to the weather as I like it a degree or two warmer

Used to be a reasonable pub but hadn't been for a while until last night. This time the staff were unfriendly and downright offensive. I shall not be going back until I hear it's been sold to someone who can run a pub properly.

This is a pretty decent pub these days. I have been in maybe ten times over the last couple of years, usually lunchtime or early evenings. Gets a good mix of people. Small range of real ales but kept well and often one from smaller localish breweries such as Tring. The interior is clean and tidy. There is a nice patio area out front that is a bit of a sun trap and has sturdy tables and chairs. I would recommend this pub.

I'm not a regular but it seems a decent no-nonsense lad's boozer. I've never seen any trouble despite this and the service is pretty good. Not really a real ale sort of place though..
