This pub used to be kickin but has really lost its way recently. The food is good but its bar staff are far more interested in each other and themselves than serving people. Theres now really bad cheesy music and the place looks like it needs a good clean. Its always been pricey but used to be worth it. Its a shame that another one's bitten the dust and what happened to Jay?

The staff are alright without being friendly, it gets really packed on the weekends and there is a general feeling of agro in there with large groups of ape like men weighing everyone up. Also if you go in with a lady friend she will get hit on a lot even if she's obviously with someone, which give a special 'am i going to have to do something about this if they don't back off' atmosphere. Lovely

Been to this pub twice in the last several months. By the looks of things it trys to make out that its something special in Brighton. However all I saw was sport on TV, bar staff more interested in talking to their friends then serving us mere punters, and pouty "urban young professionals".
A good pub is where you can go in a be treated witha smile and read your paper over a pint without the feeling that you are not very welcome. This is not one of them. Shame.

Good pub, but great shame that they are wasting water during a time of severe water shortage, hosing down the basement area in front of the pub - they should set a good example and conserve water, not waste it like this.

The Edinburgh, The Tap & Spile, Game of Life, and now The Eddy ... It's OK as pubs go, and the food can be brilliant. But the ventilation is poor, the decor's a bit gloomy and prices tend to be on the high side.
