One word to sum this place up.........fantastic!!!! It ticks all the boxes for me. This is one pub/hotel you must visit.

I agree with Adrian_S re the charm, countryside and toilets but that's where it stops for me. I arrived and found two of the three different cask ales were off. There was grudging acknowledgement for one barrel which was taken off of sale. The other I was told had a "particularly hoppy taste" - yeah right! However, I believe that barrel was also soon changed. I had a simple cheese baguette which would have been fine for 5 but not 7.50. As for the friendly staff - well I think they must have had the day off when I went!

Olde worlde charm, friendly staff and lovely views over the countryside at the back. We popped in for a quick drink and stayed for Tapas, which was excellent. Clean toilets too, so impressed.

I used to stay at this place regularly always found it quiet which was great after a long working day, staff always friendly lager good same as the food. They always gave me a large room which was great but i sometimes forgot the low beam in the middle of the room which is the same height as the middle of my forehead.
