user reviews of the Sun Inn, Craven Arms

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

The Sun is the home of the Corvedale brewery. Ales from them were Dark & Delicious, Fuggles Gold, Pax Ale & Oatmeal Stout. Cider was Gwatkin Norman Cider. The landlord and brewer is an amiable and chatty guy originally from North London. We enjoyed a brief visit chatting with him. The pub is a 2-room local on what is a fairly main road for the area. One room has a pool table. Certainly one of the best pubs of the day for us. How is this pub not in the Good Beer Guide?

A friendly pub with well kept cask ales including their own Corvedale Brewery ales.

What a pub!

Great beer, from the brewery round the back. Good food too. Plenty of room inside and a proper country/community pub feel. Copies of the Good Beer Guide from 1990 on a bookshelf.

If you go here you must try one or two of the Corvedale Brewery beers. They also sell them in bottles here.

Located on the B4368 east of Craven Arms/north of Ludlow. Best pub in the area.

Great food, great location, great atmosphere, great staff and lovely people.
The pub brews it's own ale in the micro-brewery located behind the pup and the landlord very kindly gave us a guided tour and explained in depth his brewing techniques and ingredients. Corvedale Brewery has a stall at Ludlow Food and Drink festival each year, so we will be calling into the pub again this July.

Thanks again
