Nice little pub with a couple of rooms and very reliable, high quality beer. They have a board describing the ales and informing punters of what's coming up, which is a nice touch. There are a couple of screens, but these can be avoided in the larger side room. The locals are friendly and the landlord is too. There is a dartboard. Very good pub, accessible from the canal, or tucked off Radford Road.

Well I must have visited on a bad night, I thought the pub was awful. The landlord (I think it was he serving) was a foul mouthed yob (I'm not a prude and don't mind a little bit of swearing around the pub but he was just gobby and loud), the decor was very bland not helping the overall atmos and the locals looked at me as if I had walked in ringing a bell calling out "unclean, unclean". The one pint I had was lovely and there were three others on as well but I didn't want to hang around too long to try them. Went back to the much better Star & Garter via the Jug & Jester, both much better than I found this place.

Agree with other comments its a super pub with excellent beer choices. Try out the jalapeno flavoured crisps when visiting.

Friendly pub with fine range of real ales. Also have sun trap of a beer garden. Darts can be played here and there is a fantastic quiz held regularly

Cannot recommend this pub enough for the solo drinker or those going out with friends. Tucked away down a backstreet by Leamington's canal you could almost walk past it by mistake. I went out armed with instructions of how to get there once and couldn't find it. Glad I did. Used to be called Hectors House after the old landlord and retains its front room style, cosy but not in an old fashioned or kitsch way. Landlord is a great chap and providing you are not a wall flower you can have some good banter with the regulars. Serves 3 ales at any one time, won CAMRA Pub of the Year for Heart of Warwickshire. Beer garden not fantastic but better than many. Locate it and go!
