Forgot to mention ... why is this pub listed as New Cross, when it's only about 300 yards away from Nunhead train station?? Pat_Bateman - 5 Feb 2010 15:24
Excellent free house, serving Staropramen and hoegaarden on draft. No decent ciders though. A very high standard of live music most Saturday nights. Thai restaurant in the beer garden out back serves lovely dishes at a very reasonable price. Worth a visit for the food alone. Sunday roasts don't look very nice though. Got to be one of the best pubs in the Nunhead/New Cross area. Pat_Bateman - 5 Feb 2010 15:23
Nice'ish pub. Pool table, jukebox, friendly atmosphere and nice little patio area. Great Thai restaurant attached at the back. Not great for beer lovers - tend to have flowers on tap, but no decent ales. Other than that, does what a pub does...serves drinks, keeps people mostly happy! philknox - 22 Aug 2009 17:53

This place is great. The beer garden is now a lovely restaurant with quite outstanding Thai food at sweet prices, and you can get your own drinks from the bar. And keep your seats after eating. We were serenaded by punters & staff & eased out in no hurry through swathes of trailing flowers. Loads of well-kept Belgian beers- I have to admit I didn't try the bitter.A green gem of a pub. cablebasher - 2 Aug 2006 23:46
