Was here on earlier this week with my wife. It is in a wonderful location right beside the lake.

We both ate here, food was really good, I had Coley fish and my wife had some sort of salad.

The beer chioce was brilliant with 6 ales on tap and at least two of them were locale's.

Now I know it is pricey here, pretty much London prices however the location is brilliant (so you pay for it) with a huge garden alongside the waters edge. Not many better ways to spend a couple of hours on a sunny afternoon.

In a wonderful location; Beer is OK

Prices are astronomical even when compared with the rip off prices in other places in the Lakes.

Been niceley refurbished after recent floods which everyone using this place is paying for through the nose.

Don't use if you are on a tight budget!!

Nice location - bit lacking in authenticity inside. Seems to be recently modernised. Absolutely heaving outside when the sun shines - bit more sensible on a more ordinary day.

Astronomical drinks prices. Most expensive round we had in the Lake District.

We were staying across the road, and although we chose to walk the mile into Ambleside for both evenings to eat, we popped in here on our way back to the hotel on the first evening. So cannot comment upon the food although the menu looked like good hearty food. There was a female singer, with acoustic guitar 'on'.......good songstress.

My fiance likes a good pint of real ale and they served Coniston Bluebird........which was a good pint. However, the prices were a little on the high side.

A beautiful lakeside location (reflected in the beer price, but that's to be expected), lovely deck and garden area for when the weather's good.

The interior's a bit posh for me and it is more of a Restaraunt that serves beer, rather than a Pub that serves food. That said the bar area is nice, they lit the fire each evening, the Consiton Bluebird and Watermill Collie Wobbles were both excellent and I really enjoyed every pint I had here.

Very handy for Waterhead hotels/b&b's and the Ambleside YHA if your overnighting.
