The Plough Inn, Taunton - pub details
Description
In an increasingly homogonised trade we like to stand out for NOT having all the frills that other pubs have. We are back to basics, a traditional 'rural' pub situated in the centre of Taunton! We carry four cask ales on stillages behind the bar at any one time, all sourced from local breweries and kept in the best condition. Also, being situated in Taunton the 'home of cider' we take our cider very seriously and stock no less than 8 varieties, something to suit most palates!
We are conveniently situated inbetween the railway station and the cricket ground and welcome all fans of cricket.
We serve simple food, cooked well, all locally sourced and are fast getting a reputation for our all day (organic) breakfast, which includes all the usual suspects, toast, bangers, good old fashioned bacon, free-range egg, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, black pudding and bubble and squeak. We also sell Pieminister pies which for the uninitiated are the best pies on the market!

| I went to the Plough on a recommendation last Thursday and I loved it! The bar staff were friendly, makes such a difference! The decor was sophisticated and understated...just like a couple of bars in London I often frequent. Highly recommend... supercooper - 17 Jul 2008 23:38 |
