| It appears the pub has closed as the result of the landlords having done a runner, something that seems to be all to common these days. Paul_Rochdale - 26 Oct 2011 22:45 |
| a party of 15 went to this pub on a saturday night for a birthday meal. we were running late due to weather conditions and having an elderly couple in , the party with walking difficulties. Our waitress must have taken an instant dislike to us as was rude and arrogant from the outset. With 4 or 5 younger members of our party haveing the same job but having been trained properly to be polite to customers it was noted and commented about her attitude. The food was good though orders came out wrong for both main courses and desserts. The rissotto stack was dry and the sea food platter was good but not sufficent for the price and came with boiled veg!!!!! surely that should be served with salad..The pork lion was very thin and almost like gammon. When we asked for coffee they told us yes but were were to hurry up as they wanted to close, this was at approx 11.30pm and our food bill was £350. plus at least another £100. bar bill. if they think that is the way to treat customers then we wish them luck, but none of us would go again which is a shame as in the party was 3 couples who eat out at least twice a week, but it wont be in this pub . noshikins - 3 Jan 2010 22:46 |
