As a long time punter of the pub next to east finchley stn i got fed up with bad service and rubbish beer that i now come here. It is a very nice place with good barstaff and very good beer, Needless to say i wont be going back to the other one on a regular basis anymore

A horrible experience. There was a chewing gum stuck to the seat of my chair (unfortunately, i didn't see it because the ligth was a bit murky). As a result, I ended up with sticky chewing gum all over a perfectly good new pair of trousers. The barmaid was going to offer to help sort it out , but the manager told her not to. He and his partner made it abundantly clear that they didn't think this was their problem and that they couldn't care less about the fact that the state of their pub ruined a good evening out. I won't be going back.

We've been going to Madden's for years. Great staff, ale and atmosphere. Best local in East Finchley.

Long narrow Irish bar with plenty of things to admire on the walls. On the left as you enter are various beer and spirit mirrors. On the right is a huge picture advertising a Normandy Cognac. Above the bar is an Arsenal shirt. Greene King IPA, Abbot Ale & Fullers London Pride are dispensed. A fourth handpull is free and hidden behind a decanter. There are also plenty of wines. Music was playing and TVs were showing sports. Live music was advertised for yesterday evening. The bar area gives way to more of a cafe bar feel at the rear.
