Hi everyone. For those who did not know and those who do The Stoneleigh is no longer as it has been renamed The Station.
It has been under new management since August 2011 and refurbished since September 2011.
We have new bar team members and hope to make this pub the heart of it's community not just a half wit or builders pub (sorry builders). If you have not visited us since we have changed I would urge you to try us out one more time and let us know if we are doing the job right.
We do have a company comment site which is' www.tellusandwin.com' where you can share your experiences and let us know what we are doing right or wrong the code for this is '1223'.
We hope we can change your minds!

This is a very clicky sh!thole. Although Stoneleigh is a wonderful place to live (I own a property VERY close to this pub and grew up in the area), this establishment seems to regularly attract only halfwits and builders (no offence to builders). These people still think it's cool to just be 'hard', (as if they're still on a school playground). Also, a place for part-time parents to bring their foul-mouthed children for a runaround. Don't get me wrong... I'm absolutely anything but a prude, and grew up locally within 'interesting' circles. I know guys who would eat these regulars for breakfast and make it look like an accident.

The regulars seem have a sense of belonging because they probably wouldn't be socially accepted anywhere else. They also like to size-up anything and everything that walks through the door.

I still maintain Stoneleigh is a great residential area, however, unfriendly staff, a hostile environment and sh!t service make this pub a cancer in the area. What a waste of good potential.

Unlike many other pubs in Ewell / Stoneleigh / Epsom / Ashtead, it's impossible to come here, unwind, and see friendly faces on both sides of the bar. On the contrary, this place will make you want to hurt someone!

If anyone is investing in this place... please burn it down with the regulars still inside. Whatever you replace it with will benefit you and the community greatly.

I must state that I've never had any problems as a result of this pub, but because of its size and outside space, it's just a massive shame as it could easily be so much more.

Turned round again - for the worse I'm afraid. Hope they get a permanent manager soon. Most of the bar staff are totally disinterested so you have to stand and wait while they finish chatting, cleaning tables, polishing cutlery etc before you get served. They've dropped one of the ale pumps and when I went in only had one on, so no choice. Didn't bother with food.

At last, I've found him, Young Billy the dribbler from the Avenue. All I can say is what a difference having a upstanding young fellow like him drinking here has made to the whole pub.
