Went to this pub during the day (2/9/09) looks awful and has a notice saying it's shut until January for a refurb.

Friendly pub, landlady very informitive, A bit out of the way but well worth the hunt. has charity functions and live music the pub has a guest ale that change's quite often, and the bar snack's very reasonable.
A home from home.

The Taste of England is a freehouse, set on a farm, just outside of Thatcham. The atmosphere is friendly, and informal. A home from home. Regularly have live music on a friday. Carvery on Sundays. And food served throughout the week. Also a good venue for private parties.

opening times:
weekdays: 12-11
friday/saturday: 12-12
sunday: 12-5
monday: closed
