| Nice looking pub , nice layout . Very unhappy staff (swearing and saying how they were on the verge of walking out) , poor cellar mangement leading to trouble pulling ale every time . Generally slow service .... should be so much better . My friend called me later in the evening to ask if my stomach was as upset as his .... this cannot be definately linked to the beer but it is highly probable in the circumstances . | An excellent pub with very pleasant staff. Superb food - a little expensive but, then quality doesn't come cheap! Only spoiler was the noise of the traffic in the garden as it's right beside the road, but I suppose there's not much can be done about that. steambeer - 25 Jun 2010 17:13 |

| I'm surprised this wasn't listed before now as it is a very reasonable pub serving excellent food in the restaurant area,has a v. comprehensive wine list and better than average Old Speckled Hen on draught. The staff are attentive without being in your face and v. helpful. Chef was curious why one of our party asked for a salad without dressing.
