To many ales on for the amount of customers in during the day. Beer average which is a shame as the Guv is trying. Worth a visit. pwilkins - 25 Nov 2011 15:23
Interesting place, small long bar area that opens up towards the back. Good crowd in when I visited, a mix of home and away football fans, all good no idiots. A large selection of real ales on draught, had a good local (ish) brew. The food looked and smelt good, was nearly tempted! Good pub, good friendly staff, nice price, definitely worth a visit in Scunthorpe and you've not been before. lezford - 9 Oct 2011 11:19
Paid a visit here on Saturday 11th June. Nice narrow bar with approx eight beers on. Handy for the station. zipdiskdude - 12 Jun 2011 09:55
Small, single bar pub with a restaurant upstairs. The place was heaving yesterday lunchtime. The narrow bar was standing room only, making entry to the pub quite difficult, let along getting to the bar and getting served. 8 real ales were on, including 2 from Milestone. Addlestones was the cider. Walls feature various legal memorabilia. Somehow despite the crowds, food was doing a roaring trade, with a pie (I think with chips & mushy peas) selling for just under £4. A friendly pub with a good beer selection. Although a bit too compact on matchdays. blue_scrumpy - 9 Jan 2011 21:07
Nice pub with friendly staff and customers. A choice of 8 beers, and all the ones we tried were good, although as others have mentioned, a couple were slightly cold. The football specials were really good, baps are £3.50 now, and to top the day, first win of the season. Dylanwing - 12 Sep 2010 17:00
