Cheerful and attentive staff. Decent pint of Black Sheep. Good Sunday roast (always a good indicator of quality) Relaxed atmosphere. Great one for chilled lunch, rather than lads' night out. harbourdrinker - 21 Apr 2008 15:30 |
| Friendly, cheerful service and some Jamaican dub playing which is far more interesting than the M People Lighthouse Family sandwich you get in most hostelries nowadays. The beer is good and the location is prime. Terenced almost breaks into a smile. terenced - 21 Apr 2008 08:52 |
| Really good pub , nice bar staff good beer, good music, the food is second to none, i hope it stays the same,so many pubs become the victim of their own sucsess, we have a potential victim bn3 - 18 Mar 2008 01:07 |
| If ever you are in Brighton visit this place. I have been here a few times over the years and it's always remained consistant with excellent service, decent prices (the house wine is really good!) and mainly fun! It's on the rat run for Stag and Hen weekends in the summer time but the managers keep a really tight hold on these parties and do not let them dominate. Always a good night to be had there and think that anyway can enjoy what it has to offer. TeddingtonJane - 14 Jan 2008 14:24 |
| We ducked in here after checking out engagement rings in the Lanes (I think my hubby-to-be very much needed a beer!) A roaring fire greeted us, along with some incredibly friendly bar staff. We holed up next to the fire for a couple of hours, drinking ale and red wine and eating some of the best pub food I have ever tasted (very reasonably priced also.) Highly recommended!
