| Dropped in around 10.30 on a Saturday night heading back to the Beacon, only a handful in at that time. Decent range of well-kept Holden's ales and a welcoming landlady, but nonetheless a very flat experience. Flatscreen TV BLARING out across the small front bar to no audience, could easily have turned it down or off. Men's toilets were extremely scruffy and dirty. | I visited this Good Beer Guide pub in June 07 and found the ales to be in good condition. The beers were from micros rather than big breweries, and I enjoyed ales from Nottingham and Kelburn breweries.
