Big pub in a rather nice village setting. Large garden with a marquee for cover. Doombar & London Pride on, Doombar wasn't up to it's normal standard but the Pride was fine. Food is very cheap & cheerful, nothing pretentious, just basic pub grub. Very friendly & helpful staff.

A rather pleasant village pub. The landlady, Kim, was incredibly helpful and let us use the back to park our bicycles. Beer was fine and we even had a go on the raffle, a welcome rest on our cycle ride and a rather picturesque row of houses across the road

Ah, Robert, but the FACT it's under new management isn't a FACT. In fact Kim has been the landlady for some years. As for being unclean, and scruffy, it's one of the cleanest pubs I know. In fact when the cleaner is away on holiday, my mate does the cleaning. Cold food? You did complain, didn't you? You didn't? I think your experience was an exception as the Sunday Roasts I know to be excellent value for money.

Having heard that this establishment was under new management I was disappointed to find the pub not very clean. No separate restaurant all meals serviced in a scruffy bar area. The meals served were lukewarm Avoid the Chicken pasta bake with salad."Gloopy" white sauce covering 6 thumb nail bites of chicken served lukewarm The salad consisted of a miniscule amount of iceberg lettuce & 2 tomatoes.I've had better salad with a round of sandwiches in other establishments.
What is more worrying is the fact that the place is "Under New Management".
My recco is travel another 5 mins to W Farleigh or 15 to Upnor wonderful food at both locations clean & great value.

With so many pubs selling real ale these days, this pub is one of my favourites. The Fullers London Pride is always in tip top condition. I get fed up having to ask for another beer when the bar staff don't realise the stuff has 'gone off'. No need to worry about this happening in the Bush. Fullers HSB and John Smiths are also on handpumps but I'm content with the LP. Neat little garden/courtyard with hanging baskets tended by one of the locals who lives opposite. I'm told the food is really good and they are beginning to sell homemade pies made by a lady in the village. Car park at the rear can get congested.
