A Harveys owned pub with a full range of their beers. Those we tried were in good form and very reasonably priced. A good menu with fast and friendly service.

There is the added advantage of an attractive garden at the back, away from the road.

Great pub, fresh food on sale at all hours.

Popped in here for Sunday lunch with a bunch of walkers. The place doesn't appear very inviting from the outside: it's on a busy main road and the building looks a bit dilapidated. Inside we found a real gem of a place, a basic village pub with the old-style frosted partitions. It's a Harveys pub and they had four of their ales on, I had the Sussex best which was very well kept indeed. There was a special Sunday menu on: beef/lamb roasts or Sandwiches only but the roasts were good and very good value: 7 each, 9 for two courses, 11 for three. I really liked this place.

Popped in last week. Much improved! The new landlord told me he now stocks whatever monthly special is avalable from Harveys at any time, great! Cant wait to see what beers come on......

Popped in here last week while electioneering. A big improvement on my last visit 18 months ago. Landlord was friendly and the ale was on top form.
