Great pub with friendly service and fantastic atmosphere. Huge portions of food!
Will be back soon.

Nice old pub but the beer wasn't up to much, one was undrinkable.

A good place to stop for a pint whilst walking in this fantastic area.
Inside is cosy with a large fire place and ouside has a beer garden.
Also a handy bus stop outside if you can't be bothered to walk back!

8/10

This is a real find as the pubs in Lynton/Lynmouth are on the whole a thoroughly lacklustre lot.
Excellent old-fashioned pub full of nooks and crannies and a good choice of local ales on tap. Didn't eat here, but the food being served up looked fine to me and certainly nobody was complaining. Well worth the strenuous climb I made out of Lynmouth to get here.

My wife and I stopped here (not for the first time) a couple of weeks ago. I thoroughly agree with all the positive comments of the previous reviewer and had read these before booking. There seemed to be a far better choice of beer available when we visited (although I did stick with the Tribute) and there now seems to be a substantial "daily specials" menu available with a further veggie choice for both starter and main courses. For wine drinkers, there is a wide choice at very reasonable prices. The staff and local customers are all very welcoming and we shall certainly visit again.
