Very very busy when I called in. Nothing available in the spacious beer garden but finally got a table inside. Think I had a pint of Youngs in here, unremarkable whatever it was though.

Strange one this...a lot going for it with the garden etc but seems to attract a very rowdy clientele on occassion. Also service at the bar can be extremely slow.

Nice pub at selected times of the day, beware once twilight decends the chavs creep out of the woodwork and reclaim the night, too many greasy Caesar haircuts and sovereign smoking going on for my tastes. Nice until early evening, good selection behind the bar and the food is passable, it's a pub after all.

And yet another very good pub in Hampstead, this one very near the Heath. By this point on our little crawl, though, I was beginning to wonder if Hamsptead any really traditional-feeling pubs left other than the White Bear. Hampstead's pubs are mart to a fault. This pub and the White Horse face each other across an interesting little junction, between Hampstead and Belsize Park. Spending a summer evening in this area could be very nice indeed.

Nice pub with a good range of continental beers, comfortable location. the only trouble with this pub and this go's for all pubs since the introduction of the draconian smoking ban, that their was a heavy aroma of BO and farts lingering in the air thus forcing me to drink outside in the garden area. which is not the best solution. Then again with the smoking ban in place it realy brings home what disgusting people frequent these places, please repeal the smoking ban.
