Currently visiting a pub for every station on London Overground. Did this one for Hampstead Heath. Lovely pub, upmarket but not too poncy and still felt like a proper pub. Real ale was in good condition and food was nice and not overly expensive considering the area. Has a wonderful beer garden, could easily spend a lazy summers sunday in here. Recommend!

Pretty sure he is in there every night but Brian and his three-legged dog will perform magic tricks on request
Brian is more regular than the bar staff who seem to change if you stay for more than one pint

A warm welcome on a cool early evening this Saturday, after a walk around Hampstead and down Rosslyn Hill. It was fairly quiet, starting to build up as I caught up with Camden New Journal and a quiet (very well kept and a wonderfully drinkable) pint of Saltaire Brewery Cascade Pale Ale.

This pub is much better than I initially expected. The staff are friendly, the ambiance quite cosy and a nice pub garden to boot.

It does get fairly crowded but is well worth it as the draft beer selection is very good.

Agree with Lucyleftfoot...great pub but at the right time. Favourite stop off after an weekend afternoon autumnal walk on the Heath.
