Wonderful Garden, great food and great beer! Great for evenings out with a group of friends. RMM - 28 Apr 2009 09:18
Food service was extremely strange. Nice glasses for the beer. Beer garden very nice, with magnificent views of the opticians opposite, and some lovely growing things as well as a very 'in country' verandah. Staff seemed more trashed than the punters, which given the location is quite understandable. Many of the sandwiches appeared to contain 'greenery' to the surprise of the diners. Free-ranging small children provide an entertaining navigation hazard for the less sober punter. london_drunker - 18 Apr 2009 13:29
Very very busy when I called in. Nothing available in the spacious beer garden but finally got a table inside. Think I had a pint of Youngs in here, unremarkable whatever it was though. Sharp - 31 Aug 2008 21:29
Strange one this...a lot going for it with the garden etc but seems to attract a very rowdy clientele on occassion. Also service at the bar can be extremely slow. TS77 - 22 Jul 2008 16:00
Nice pub at selected times of the day, beware once twilight decends the chavs creep out of the woodwork and reclaim the night, too many greasy Caesar haircuts and sovereign smoking going on for my tastes. Nice until early evening, good selection behind the bar and the food is passable, it's a pub after all. theregent - 10 May 2008 16:23
