Never went in July 2011, there seemed to be a real ale on looking through the window, the pub appeared clean and repainted from the outside

oh my god !
The Prince Regent has re-opened and what a complete let down.
NO ATMOSPHERE AND NOW NOT FAMILY RUN
Heard the landlady who had been there 44 years had to give up due to financial difficulties. SHAME ON YOU ENTERPRISE INNS she probably paid for the place 10 times over with the kind of rents you charge !! Damn shame so sorry for all Family and staff involved.
Good Luck to the new tennants you got a Massive Task fillin them Boots !

i cannot understand a couple of the other comments,i visit the pub every year and always find the staff and landlord and his mum very helpful and friendly and dont know where the track suit scousers come into it ive never seen them and i visit there a lot.yes the carpets are very tired, and toilets due to be decorated time permitting.on all this is a very friendly pub .

Just visited tonight . . . WOW !
The comments previously made seem very strange ??????
Drinking Guinness, beautiful pint. I must say there was no live music but there is a live act on sat night. The licensee was very friendly as was the member of staff. The Pub has dramatically transformed due to a redecoration carried out by the licensee himself ( must have been mad ! ) but what a lovely , bright and comfortable bar to relax in. Talking to the Licensee he mentioned the toilets are still in the process of being redecorated But they were still clean ! Nice ambience with 2 pool tables both being used and a very good musical choice on the juke box. Will be returning during the week to see what else has changed.

Was a cracking pub about 7 years ago attracting live music and a really busy weekend turnout with bouncers on the door who refused entry to ANY young scrote in groups.Sadly it been taken over and your lager (no real ales!)by tracksuit wearing Scousers.I wouldnt go in this place agin due to the rudeness of the staff, dirtyness of the bar and toilets.
