| To update our comment from Nov 2008, we have stopped going there after a disastrous Saturday night in July 2010. The kitchen lost it and the food was less than fair and very delayed. No apology to us although a neighbouring table of locals were given a free bottle of wine. | I know pubs need to look after their regulars but a jolly smile and pleasant welcome wouldn't go amiss from the bar to a weary walker by. This sadness was forgotten and adequately made up for by the Landlord who was attentive to the food order which was most sufficient for our needs. | I arrived here at lunchtime and the pub wasn't ready to start serving food. The landlord was surly and whinged a lot. Decor is shabby, food remained untried and the pint of was just about OK. Alright for a drink if passing, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get here. ETA - 6 May 2009 14:17 |
