recent visit by my daughter and fiancee did not go well 2 meals were order both arrived cold in fact steak was still frozen in the middle landlady was asked to deal with the problem to which her reply was that there was nothing wrong! and steak was meant to be rare - well frozen is rare i suppose! not a venue i would bother to go to again! Abbey Hotel, William IV & Tavern do better food. dorsetman1 - 23 Jun 2008 19:27
Always seems to be sopmething going on here which isd unusual for slleply old Romsey. Great atmosphere and very pleasant landlord. Must agree with JustinNewman - the best in Romsey! Stubsy - 8 May 2008 11:51
By far the best watering hole in Romsey. Not over-priced, nice surroundings and a great place to unwind. We've been watching the 6 nations here mainly because of the good food. JustinNewman - 4 Mar 2008 12:53
Nicely done out pub aimed at the top end of the market in Romsey. Chavs, hoodies etc might find The Tavern nearby more to their taste. Pubgrabber - 8 Feb 2008 13:23
