| Has undergone a makeover in the last year or so by the look of it and now prides itself on serving up pies and puddings. Offers two Ringwood beers and I enjoyed my pint of Boon Doggle. But overall something just isn't quite right here - it's trying to be a bit gastro and upmarket on the one hand yet is full of ladz swilling cheap lager and, when we visited, was plastered with St George's crosses so retains a (slightly menancing) local feel. | A really decent pub these days. A nice drop of Ringwood 49er if you're lucky and now the best pub in Dorch to watch Sky Football. Had excellent Christmas meal in there last year too and always plenty going on. Made to feel welcome. Good place. fishski - 1 Sep 2009 23:02 |
