| This has been my local pub for over 20 years and still serves the best pint in Crowland. It has recently undergone a refit (Summer 2009), with the public bar now in what was the lounge, which I understand is where it was at one time in the pub's history anyway. What was the bar is now a dining room with a kitchen fitted during the re-fit. There are no jukes boxes, pool tables or darts boards in this pub. Background music is played at a level where it is still possible to have a conversation, although there are ocassional live music evenings. A friendly welcoming atmosphere from management and staff, with a current basic food offering, although I think the food may well change in the new year with the new licensees having some interesting ideas for the future.
